Ian Jenner Award for Innovation and Excellence
Honouring Ian Jenner, a respected industry figure, we were proud to launch the CBAFF Ian Jenner Award in 2025.
The Ian Jenner Award honours the legacy of a respected industry leader and represents a natural progression from the Generation Future Young Achiever Award, recognising those who have moved beyond emerging talent to demonstrate sustained leadership, excellence, and influence across the logistics, transport, and supply chain sectors in New Zealand.
The award celebrates individuals, teams, businesses, government agencies, and industry associations who are shaping the future of the industry through innovation and excellence, delivering meaningful and measurable impact through forward-thinking solutions and initiatives.
Whether through operational improvement, technology, collaboration, or strategic leadership, the Ian Jenner Award highlights those driving progress, setting new benchmarks for performance, and influencing positive change across the sector.
Award Purpose
- Recognise excellence and innovation across the logistics and supply chain sector
- Celebrate initiatives delivering measurable industry impact
- Encourage forward-thinking approaches to industry challenges
- Highlight individuals and organisations leading positive change
Award Presentation
The winner(s) will be announced at the CBAFF Annual Conference and will receive:
- The Ian Jenner Award (held for one year)
- A framed certificate recognising their achievement
- A cash prize
Eligibility
Open to individuals, teams, businesses, government agencies, and industry associations demonstrating a significant contribution to the logistics, transport, or supply chain sector in New Zealand.
Submissions
Submissons should include:
- A description (up to 1000 words) outlining how the nominee meets the judging criteria, including contribution, outcomes, and progression
- Supporting evidence such as case studies, testimonials, data, project summaries, or media coverage
- Any additional material demonstrating innovation, leadership, collaboration, or measurable impact
Submissions should address:
- Innovation or Excellence – advancement, originality, or sustained high performance
- Impact & Outcomes – measurable or observable benefits, including progression over time
- Leadership & Influence – ability to lead and positively influence within the organisation and/or sector
- Industry Contribution – contribution to capability, reputation, and growth of the sector in New Zealand
Submissions must be received by 21 August 2026. Late submissions will not be considered.
Judging Criteria
Entries will be assessed on:
- Innovation or Excellence – quality, originality, or advancement demonstrated
- Impact – scale and significance of outcomes achieved
- Leadership & Influence – ability to lead and positively influence change
- Industry Contribution – contribution to the broader sector
- Clarity of evidence – how clearly achievements, outcomes, and progression are demonstrated
